Master artist Ferdi Tayfur passed away in the evening hours at the hospital where he was receiving treatment in Antalya. Tayfur's niece and press consultant, Şirin Gözalıcı, said in a statement, "We are in deep sorrow over losing our dear one, the pillar of our family, our father. The necessary announcement regarding burial details will be made as soon as possible."
Artist Ferdi Tayfur, who fell ill at his home in Marmaris on December 15, was taken to a hospital in the district and later transferred to Antalya. Tayfur, who had been receiving treatment since December 17, passed away this evening at the hospital where he was being treated.
