AKP Deputy Chairman Mustafa Şen made important statements regarding his party's vote shares and the work they are conducting on the Gece Görüşü program broadcast on CNN Türk.
Mustafa Şen stated that his party appears to be below 40 percent but above 35 percent in the latest polls.
Claiming that they are on an upward trend, Şen said, "Our President has given a 50 percent instruction. In line with this, we have to develop new strategies and continue by improving existing policies."
'CHP DOWN, WE ARE UP'
Evaluating the results of polls conducted during the summer months, Şen used the following expressions regarding the AKP's position:
"CHP announced a poll at the end of the summer. It stated that the AK Party was the leading party again. However, in the research we conducted, CHP was in first place. I constantly follow the trends. We see that CHP is trending downward, while we are trending upward. In our research from last month, we were one point ahead in one, and CHP was half a point ahead in the other. However, the general trend shows that the AK Party will clearly pull ahead."
'SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IS OUR FOUNDATION'
Emphasizing that they attach importance to research processes and remain committed to scientific criteria, Mustafa Şen said the following:
"I scientifically squeeze the life out of research. For this reason, having me conduct research is not everyone's preference. However, results based on a scientific foundation emerge. We evaluate trends and results within this framework."
'WE DO NOT IGNORE COMPLAINTS'
Stating that the AKP takes social criticism into account, Şen said they do not hesitate to learn lessons from these criticisms:
"The AK Party sees a complaint and produces a solution. We were in the field even during the holiday periods. We traveled from city to city and met with our citizens. Our first target is 42 percent, but we are working to reach 50 percent with our President's instruction."
NEED FOR NEW STRATEGIES
Mustafa Şen stated that the AKP continues its improvement efforts in both domestic and foreign policy, and that this process will accelerate the rise. Saying, "We must find and improve upon even the best work we do," Şen underlined the need for innovative strategies.
