The world-renowned business magazine Forbes has released its annual list of the world's wealthiest people. Familiar names once again appeared among the 28 richest individuals from Turkey included on the list.
The name of Selçuk Bayraktar, son-in-law of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has appeared on the Forbes list for the second time.
İbrahim Erdemoğlu, who topped the list of names in Turkey last year, entered the top 10 at the very last spot following a "loss" in his wealth. While many members of the Koç family are featured on the list, the name that etched its place at the top this year is Murat Ülker.
While Şaban Cemil Kazancı placed second with a fortune of 3.2 billion dollars, Erdoğan's son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar ranked in the middle of the 28-person list with a fortune of 1.2 billion dollars.
BAYKAR Chairman of the Board Haluk Bayraktar, the older brother of Selçuk Bayraktar, is also among those on the list of the wealthy with a fortune of 1.1 billion dollars.
Also notable on the list are Nihat Özdemir with a fortune of 1.9 billion dollars and Sezai Bacaksız with 1.8 billion dollars.
