A tomb chamber carved into the bedrock, featuring a female relief carving, was discovered following a report in an area locally known as 'Kız kapan mevkii' (The Maiden's Trap location). Villagers informed the Adıyaman Museum Directorate about the female relief.
Adıyaman Museum Director Mehmet Alkan and his team visited the region to conduct an inspection. In addition to the chamber tomb with the female relief, which dates back 1,700 years to the Roman period, various other historical structures are also located in the area.
It has been learned that the Adıyaman Museum Directorate will apply to the Şanlıurfa Regional Board for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage to have the area registered.
Providing information on the subject, Adıyaman Museum Director Mehmet Alkan stated, "Following a report made by a citizen, we came to Yukarı Nasırlı village and conducted investigations. As a result of these investigations, we identified settlement areas in some places and a female relief approximately one and a half meters high. We also identified a tomb chamber directly beneath this female relief. This female relief indicates that the woman was buried inside the chamber tomb located just below it. Furthermore, as a result of our examination here, we determined that it is a chamber tomb dating back to the 3rd century AD. In other words, it is a woman's tomb from 1,700 years ago."
