The incident occurred around 22:00 in a 3-story building located in the Söğütlüçeşme neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. According to reports, the family living in the building bought and cooked chicken for dinner. A short time after eating their meal, the four family members began to experience nausea and dizziness and called the 112 emergency service. Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After receiving initial treatment, the family of four was taken to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital by ambulances.
It was learned that the four individuals under treatment are not in life-threatening condition and are doing well. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Speaking about the incident, Şerafettin Duman, a relative of the family, said, "They apparently bought chicken from outside. They brought it home, roasted it in the oven, and ate it. After eating, they all started to feel nausea and dizziness. Later, when they felt numbness in their hands, they called an ambulance. They took them all to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Their condition is good. I saw them as the ambulance was leaving. I think some of them have already been discharged. After the incident, police teams and an ambulance arrived. They all went together."
