Family receives the body: Funeral arrangements for Ece Gürel announced

For days, Turkey has been talking about landscape architect Ece Gürel, who was found alive 72 hours after going missing in the Belgrade Forest but passed away at the hospital where she was taken.
After being found alive by search teams following her disappearance in the Belgrade Forest on Sunday, Ece Gürel was taken to the hospital for treatment.
However, despite the interventions of doctors, Gürel lost her life. It was learned that Gürel died due to hypothermia and internal bleeding.
Following examinations that found no signs of assault or sexual abuse on her body, Gürel's remains were released to her family.
Ece Gürel's body was brought from the hospital to the Council of Forensic Medicine around 07:00 in the morning. After an autopsy that lasted approximately 5.5 hours, her body was released to her family.
A funeral prayer for Ece Gürel will be held at the Güneşli Central Mosque following the afternoon prayer. It was learned that after the funeral prayer, Gürel will be laid to rest in Istanbul.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Landscape architect Ece Gürel, who went missing while hiking in the Belgrade Forest, had been found in the forest by search teams. After receiving initial treatment, she was taken to a private hospital in Maslak, where she lost her battle for life during the night.
