Journalist Fatih Altaylı, regarding Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi's comment that "We will have a completely different agenda next week," stated, "Selvi wouldn't have written this if he hadn't heard it somewhere, or even if he hadn't been told, 'Write this down, Abdulkadir.'

Clearly, a fire is being lit somewhere, and what is coming from Selvi is its smoke," he said.

'A MUNICIPALITY THE AKP HAS NEVER WON'

Altaylı noted that he had 'probed' both the AKP and CHP sides regarding this issue and recorded the following:

"I must admit that I have reached some interesting rumors. They say the AKP is preparing to remove another district mayor in Istanbul following the Esenyurt Municipality. 

This time, it is not on their periphery, but in the center, and they are even talking about a municipality that the AKP has never won before. 

When I heard the name of the municipality, I said, 'No way, what does that have to do with anything!' But when it comes to the AKP and recklessness, even the most unrelated things can happen. 

For now, it is just a rumor. I hope it doesn't become 'reality' tomorrow. Because if it does, it won't be good!" 

It is known that the AKP has never won certain districts since 2002.
