In the Talas district of Kayseri, a fire allegedly caused by an electrical outlet at a girls' dormitory sparked panic. The fire, which caused students to rush out into the street, was extinguished before it could spread.

According to the information obtained, a fire broke out on the 4th floor of the Şule Yüksel Şenler Girls' Student Dormitory, located on Şaban Yılmaz Street in the Yenidoğan neighborhood of the district, allegedly due to a malfunction in an electrical outlet. As the fire spread to a bed in the dormitory, students panicked and rushed out into the street.

Upon notification, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. While police teams took security measures in the vicinity, fire crews intervened in the blaze. Medical teams provided on-site assistance to students who felt unwell due to the panic; there were no injuries reported in the fire.

Meanwhile, local shopkeepers took the students, who were left outside in the rainy weather, into their businesses and offered them tea. After the smoke in the dormitory was cleared, the students returned to their rooms. An investigation into the fire has been launched.

Dursun Özdemir, who took the students into his business to prevent them from getting wet in the rainy weather, said, "Citizens passing by in front of our business informed us that there was a fire upstairs. The children were a bit panicked. We called out to them from below and brought them down.
