Fenerbahçe legend Aykut Kocaman made notable statements on HT Spor.

When asked, "What does Fenerbahçe mean to you?" and prompted by the moderator who said, "There were times you returned when you wouldn't have," Aykut Kocaman replied as follows;

Look, this is Turkey. These clubs are very important institutions, they have incredible power, and they are places that have carried the people who emerged from within them to very important positions. Fenerbahçe is like that, Galatasaray is like that, and Beşiktaş is like that. I likely share the same feelings with the friends here. When there is a need at these clubs, if someone is told, "Come," they go.

"There is an 8-point gap; from this point on, they need to catch a serious streak. The desire of the players at Fenerbahçe seems to have diminished. Fenerbahçe is currently at a very important turning point. 

If Fenerbahçe can stay in the race while passing this turning point, they will go until the final week. But this turning point looks a bit more dangerous than last year's.

A JAB AT THE MANAGEMENT

"I was away from Fenerbahçe for 6 years. After I left, there were many managerial crises within those 6 years. I am not saying I should have been there. Managers were sought from all over the world, and my name was the only one that was not mentioned as an option. 

I repeat, I have no expectations, but I am trying to explain a situation. It is not a question of 'Why not me?' I do not have the right to ask that. The people managing at that time provide the answer to that. I do not have to be the one, but if I cannot be one of the options with this CV, that is a situation."

MOURINHO COMMENTARY

"Foreign managers who come here see themselves as superior and think it is easy. Then, when they see the difficulties here, there is a state of hitting a wall. 

I do not see Jose Mourinho's current body language as having the same high self-confidence as the day he first arrived. He does not look very healthy right now."

Kocaman had achieved an average of 2.07 points in 46 matches during his final tenure at Fenerbahçe.
