Gasoline price hiked by 1 lira 47 kuruş! Diesel is next...

Fuel prices have increased once again. As of June 13, 2025, the price of a liter of gasoline has been raised by 1.47 TL. With the updated pump prices, gasoline has risen to the 48-49 TL range in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.

The primary reasons for the price increases in fuel include the rise in international oil prices, fluctuations in the exchange rate, and tax burdens.

DIESEL PRICE HIKE IMMINENT

Industry sources expect an increase in diesel prices on Saturday, June 14. According to information obtained, a price hike of approximately 1 TL per liter for diesel is anticipated.

In Turkey, fuel prices closely track international markets, particularly Brent crude oil, and the dollar/TL exchange rate. Additionally, increases in tax items such as the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) and Value Added Tax (KDV) are directly reflected in prices.

Citizens are concerned about the impact of successive price hikes on their budgets. While drivers are heading to fuel stations before the price increases, it is noted that cost increases are also imminent in the transportation and logistics sectors.

With the new price hike, the liter prices for gasoline are as follows:

• Istanbul: 48.39 TL

• Ankara: 49.08 TL

• Izmir: 49.41 TL
