There is good news for those seeking work opportunities in Germany. As of 2024, it has become clear which professions stand out in Germany's labor market and in which fields the most recruitment will take place. Germany is launching a large-scale recruitment process to meet its labor force needs, particularly in certain sectors.

Recently, Germany and many other countries have been inviting skilled professionals from abroad to meet their labor needs. Germany, in particular, frequently makes announcements regarding the recruitment of workers for specific professional groups. Details regarding the sought-after professional groups have now begun to emerge in this process, which was recently announced to involve the hiring of thousands of people.
The professional sectors from which people are emigrating from Turkey to abroad continue to vary. Germany, which is the top choice for doctors, is also seeking qualified personnel in fields such as the IT sector, engineering, architecture, transportation, construction, and aviation.
According to a report by Ali Gülen from the newspaper Sözcü, a new personnel shortage has emerged in Germany. Due to pressure from the Green Party, the fact that gas or other types of heating systems can no longer be installed in homes without a heat pump has suddenly turned eyes toward heating technicians and plumbers.
In Germany, calculations have already begun as the systems in millions of homes are set to change, and it has been announced that there is a shortage of 60 thousand plumbers. With this development, the question of how to go from Turkey to Germany has started to be asked.
For plumbers from Turkey who want to go to Germany, simply having journeyman or master certificates in this field will not be enough. They will need to prove that they have received training in this area, meaning they have completed vocational training.
Even before the new Skilled Immigration Act comes into effect, those who hold these documents will be able to apply to companies in Germany. B1-level German language proficiency will make obtaining a visa even easier.
Helmut Bramann, General Manager of the Central Association for Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning, emphasized that this many personnel are necessary not only for those installing new systems but also for those looking to modernize their bathrooms and existing systems.
Speaking to the Funke Media Group, Rmann stated that German plumbers have modernized 900 thousand heating systems and renovated 1.2 million bathrooms annually so far, adding, "But in an aging society, there is huge demand in this sector and the number of workers is low."
While it was announced that 400 thousand plumbers were working in Germany last year, it is stated that 70 percent of homes in Europe could be made suitable for heat pumps with a simple conversion, while others would primarily require thermal insulation and renovation costs.
