According to the information obtained, 85-year-old Semra Şenkaya filed a criminal complaint against her grandson, K.Ş. (39), and his wife, alleging that they had fraudulently transferred her apartment into his name during an urban transformation process, seized her pension, threatened her with a knife, and physically assaulted her.

According to the allegations, the elderly woman, who lived in a rental property with her grandson throughout the urban transformation process, claimed that after the new apartments were delivered, the properties were registered in her grandson's name through "deception."

Following allegations that the real estate belonging to the complainant, Semra Şenkaya, was disposed of through pressure and fraud, an investigation was launched by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Within the scope of the investigation, the grandson, K.Ş., and his brother-in-law, a real estate agent named E.S., who was alleged to be his accomplice, were taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects K.Ş. and E.S. were referred to the courthouse, where they were arrested by the on-duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of "fraud by exploiting a person's diminished cognitive capacity" and sent to prison.
