Journalist Fatih Altaylı claimed that former Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who was reassigned to the central government after refusing to allow a terrorist memorial in Tunceli, was dismissed on the orders of PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan. In his latest statement, Altaylı made a highly controversial claim. Alleging that baby-killer Abdullah Öcalan stated he had personally ensured the removal of Tunceli Governor Tekbıyıkoğlu, Altaylı used the following expressions:

TEKBIYIKOĞLU DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS

Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu did not remain silent in response to Altaylı's claim. In a statement made via social media, the former governor emphasized that he left his post of his own volition, stating the following:

“No one fired me. Furthermore, the person/authority mentioned is not a person or authority capable of firing me. Without even receiving any suggestion in this direction, I conveyed my request to be removed from my Tunceli Governorship to our Ministry on May 19, 2025, of my own free will. If it is true, the statement mentioned in the record in question is a baseless remark made to gain the favor of the interlocutor.”
