He lived with his girlfriend's body wrapped in cling film for two days: 'I was scared because she died'
In Çanakkale, 63-year-old Uzbekistan national Dinara Alya Urkasimova, who had not been heard from for 3 days, was found dead in her home. Her boyfriend, Metin K. (47), was taken into custody as a murder suspect at Alya Urkasimova's home.

Relatives of Uzbekistan national Dinara Alya Urkasimova, who lived in Çanakkale, notified the police yesterday after they could not reach her. Police officers went to the 5th floor of the apartment building in the Neydim Complex on Kocatepe Street in the Esenler neighborhood and knocked on the door.
The door was opened by Dinara Alya Urkasimova's boyfriend, Metin K. When police teams asked where Alya Urkasimova was, Metin K. pointed to the massage room, which he had locked.
Upon opening the door, police teams discovered the body of Dinara Alya Urkasimova wrapped in cling film and took her boyfriend, Metin K., into custody.
Following the investigation by the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams, Urkasimova's body was taken to the morgue of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Çanakkale State Hospital. The exact cause of Urkasimova's death will be determined after an autopsy is performed.
"I WAS SCARED BECAUSE SHE DIED, I COULDN'T TELL ANYONE"
The initial statement of Dinara Alya Urkasimova's boyfriend, Metin K., who was taken into custody by the police, has also emerged. In his first statement to the police, Metin K. said, "We were consuming alcohol 2 days ago around 02:00.
Afterward, she suddenly became ill while I was giving her a massage. She couldn't breathe. I performed CPR, but I couldn't bring her back. I was scared because she died. I couldn't tell anyone. I stayed in the same house with the body for 2 days. I did not kill her," he said.
WROTE ON STATUS UPDATE
On the other hand, it was revealed that Alya Urkasimova, whose lifeless body was found in her home yesterday, had written on her WhatsApp status update on Sunday, July 20: "I am preparing for marriage, I will be out of Çanakkale for a while, I will not be checking social media."
The investigation launched by the police into the incident is ongoing.
