TRT's experienced sports commentator Erdoğan Arıkan fell ill while calling the TFF 1st League match played between Keçiörengücü and Sakaryaspor.
It was understood that Arıkan had suffered a heart attack and was resuscitated following the intervention of medical teams.

It was learned that Arıkan, who was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident, was given CPR during the initial intervention and was successfully resuscitated.

The Ministry of Health released a statement regarding the health status of Erdoğan Arıkan, who was taken into intensive care at the Ankara Gülhane Training and Research Hospital.
The statement said, "Sports commentator Erdoğan Arıkan is conscious, and his treatment continues in intensive care."
