Hitman for the Barış Boyun gang turns out to be a famous model!

A blow was dealt to the gang, led by Barış Boyun who is currently imprisoned in Italy, with an operation carried out last month.

While 99 people, including Boyun's wife Ece Boyun, were arrested in this operation, one name stood out more than the others. Known as the gang's 'model', Deniz Giz Bebek is accused of 'recruiting hitmen' for the organization via social media.

Among the accusations against Bebek, who worked as the gang's 'Human Resources Specialist', are that she offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to people who admired the gang for murders to be committed, engaged in arms trafficking, and shared the note 'those who want peace will bow down' in her posts.

ARMS DEALING VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

It is alleged that Bebek worked with Ece Boyun, the wife of Barış Boyun, who began to be known as the 'female boss' (hanımağa) of the organization after Barış Boyun was imprisoned, and that she trafficked weapons.

In addition to her travels in luxury cars, Bebek, who frequently shared photos from luxury venues, had also shared images of herself 'writing her name with bullets' as well as photos taken with weapons. It was revealed that she added the note 'Those who want peace will bow down' (Barış isteyen Boyun eğecek) to these photos, in reference to gang leader Barış Boyun.

WORKING LIKE A HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

While it is striking that Bebek worked almost like 'a human resources specialist' within the organization, it is stated that she actively used social media to attract young people to the organization and turn them into hitmen.

Bebek, who introduced herself on her LinkedIn job search platform account by saying 'I take care to fulfill the tasks given to me in the best way possible', is alleged to have offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to people who admired the gang for murders to be committed.

Among the allegations is that Bebek, who is claimed to have asked followers who liked her 'armed photos' on her social media account 'did you need a weapon?', offered hitman jobs in face-to-face meetings by saying 'there is a bad person who needs to be punished'.

"I AM RECEIVING PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT"

Bebek was arrested in October on charges of 'benefiting a criminal organization by utilizing the organization's intimidating power, looting, arms trafficking, assault, intentional homicide, and highway robbery.'

When Deniz Giz Bebek heard the allegations against her, she requested to be tried without arrest, stating that she was receiving psychological treatment, but this request was rejected by the court.

Barış Boyun, who is in prison in Italy, was born in 1984. Barış Boyun, who carried his 'criminal career', which he started as a neighborhood gang in Beyoğlu, to an international dimension, and his sub-group, the Daltonlar Gang, made a name for themselves with murders committed by their motorcycle assassination squad, inspired by Colombian cartels.

Barış Boyun, who also used rap singers and influenced young people with flashy propaganda videos they made, especially on social media, was arrested in Italy in May through a joint operation by Italian and Turkish police and put in prison.

After Boyun's arrest, the gang did not slow down its activities.

The 'business' of the criminal organization was carried out by Boyun's wife, Ece Boyun.

In the prosecutor's referral document regarding the arrested Ece Boyun, it was stated that Ece Boyun was in a position of influence and authority within the organization, was accepted as a 'female boss' (hanımağa) in mafia parlance, and carried out punishment practices within the organization.

It was also determined that Ece Boyun went to join Barış Boyun after he fled abroad.
