Horrific accident on the Northern Marmara Highway: 12 injured, including 4 children
12 people were injured in a traffic accident involving 3 vehicles on the Kocaeli section of the Northern Marmara Highway. The scene of the accident looked like a battlefield.

The accident occurred around 23:00 in the Sevindikli area of the Körfez section of the Northern Marmara Highway. Cars with license plates 81 AAC 004, 06 EFM 491, and 34 FGK 420, heading in the direction of Ankara, were involved in the accident; the names of the drivers could not be learned.
Some vehicles came to a stop after crashing into the barriers. Upon notification, numerous health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Fire crews extracted the injured trapped in the cars and transferred them to medical teams.
Those injured in the accident, which turned the area into a scene resembling a battlefield, were transported to nearby hospitals.
12 people, including 4 children, were injured in the accident. It was learned that two of the injured are in serious condition.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
