Turkey has been talking for days about the 'Foods Subject to Imitation or Adulteration' and 'Foods Endangering Health' lists released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The 2 companies added to the 'Foods Endangering Health' list on November 11 also caused shock.
It was revealed that the establishments threatening public health were serving 'equine meat' as ground beef.

'Equine meat' refers to the meat of animals such as horses, donkeys, and mules. The consumption of such meat is legally prohibited in food products as it can lead to serious health problems. However, some unscrupulous companies attempt to deceive consumers by using this cheaper meat in various products.
