Before the regulation, the monthly payment for a 1 million lira loan with a 4.15 percent interest rate and a 120-month term was as high as 41 thousand 817 lira. Now, with the step taken by the BDDK, this rate has dropped to 2.79 percent for the same amount and term. With the 13 thousand TL reduction, monthly installments have fallen to 28 thousand 966 lira.
