Following the March 31 local elections, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel have met for the second time.
The summit between the two leaders, who met again after 40 days, continues to remain on the agenda.
Optimar Research conducted a public opinion poll last May regarding the Erdoğan-Özel summit.
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz shared the survey results from Optimar Research in his column.
In the survey, citizens were asked the question: “How do you evaluate the meeting between Erdoğan and Özel?”
70.9 percent of participants said they viewed it positively, while 29.1 percent said they viewed it negatively.
78.6% of AKP supporters, 77.5% of MHP supporters, 76.4% of IYI Party supporters, 63.9% of CHP supporters, and 49.1% of DEM Party supporters view it positively.
The question of which side this meeting has made more advantageous was raised.
54.7 percent said it made Erdoğan more advantageous, while 45.3 percent said it made Özel more advantageous.
Additionally, the question of how successful Özel's leadership performance has been was asked.
43.6 percent found it successful, 33.9 percent found it average, and 22.5 percent stated they found it unsuccessful.
