“Our viewers are conveying the disruptions they have experienced regarding watching EURO 2024 broadcasts to our institution via our TRT Communication Center and social media. UEFA strictly requires all broadcasters it licenses to comply with the International Broadcasting Rights Restriction rule. In this context, UEFA has been forwarding complaints to our institution regarding the fact that EURO 2024 broadcasts can be accessed from outside of Turkey, with a warning of ‘sanctions’.
We would like to state that due to the signal levels determined by UEFA and the mandatory encryption policies, we are unable to increase our satellite signal strength above a certain level.
