8-year-old Narin Güran went missing on August 21 after leaving a Quran course in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır.

As search efforts for Narin Güran continue, the examination at the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine regarding the bite mark on the arm of her brother, E.G., who was detained as part of the investigation, has been completed.
The report prepared regarding the examination has been sent to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, where the investigation is being conducted. The report stated that it could not be determined whether the bite mark belonged to Narin.
E.G. was released following the procedures at the gendarmerie.
It has been learned that the young girl's brother, E.G., who was taken into custody, stated in his testimony regarding the bite marks on his arm, "I did it myself."
FAMILY TAKEN INTO CROSS-EXAMINATION
According to a report by T24, the public prosecutor conducting the investigation has instructed law enforcement to re-interrogate all family members, including mother Yüksel and father Arif Güran, as well as uncles and cousins.
Gendarmerie moved into action on the orders of the prosecutor's office. The gendarmerie is cross-examining all of Narin's family members in an effort to find a lead about the young girl.
While the investigation initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues under confidentiality, a publication ban has been imposed by the court.
