İSKİ announces dam occupancy rates
According to data from İSKİ, the occupancy rate of the dams supplying water to Istanbul has fallen to 36.76 percent. Despite recent heavy rainfall, water levels continue to decline, with the Elmalı Dam having the highest occupancy rate at 56.3 percent. The Kazandere Dam is at the lowest level with 4.6 percent.
Despite the heavy rainfall that has been effective in Istanbul in recent days, the water levels in the dams continue to decline.
According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate of dams in the megacity was 36.96 percent on October 6, while according to today's data, it has fallen to 36.76 percent.
The highest water level in the dams was recorded at the Elmalı Dam with 56.3 percent, while the lowest water level was at the Kazandere Dam with 4.6 percent.
According to İSKİ data, as of October 7, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are as follows:
• Alibey Dam 7.59 percent
• Büyükçekmece Dam 39.35 percent
• Darlık Dam at 41.17 percent
• Elmalı Dam 56.3 percent
• Istrancalar Dam 18.89 percent
• Kazandere Dam 4.6 percent
• Pabuçdere Dam 17.44 percent
• Sazlıdere Dam 47.48 percent
• Terkos Dam 52.54 percent
• Ömerli Dam 29.29 percent
