The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the number of people killed in Israeli attacks has exceeded 2,400.
The Israeli army demolished an observation tower and surrounding fences belonging to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in Marwahin, in southern Lebanon.
In a statement from UNIFIL, it was stated, "Earlier today, an Israeli army bulldozer deliberately demolished an observation tower and perimeter fence at a UN position in Marwahin."
The statement reminded "the Israeli army and all actors" of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property and to respect the inviolability of UN premises at all times.
Emphasizing that violating UN positions is a violation of international law, the statement said, "The Israeli army has repeatedly requested that UNIFIL vacate its positions along the Blue Line and has deliberately damaged UN positions. Despite the pressure exerted on the mission and the troop-contributing countries, the Peacekeepers continue to remain in all positions."
11 AIRSTRIKES FROM ISRAEL ON LEBANON
Meanwhile, it was reported that the Israeli army carried out 11 airstrikes on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
In a report by the official Lebanese news agency NNA, it was stated that the number of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on the capital Beirut this evening reached 11.
Pointing out that branches of the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Qard Al-Hassan institution (a non-interest solidarity organization) in southern Beirut were targeted, the report noted that one of the Israeli airstrikes was carried out on an Al-Qard Al-Hassan branch near the Rafic Hariri International Airport.
The report highlighted that Israeli warplanes also targeted branches of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan institution in the southern Nabatieh Governorate and the eastern Bekaa region, and stated that some health workers were injured as a result of Israel targeting an ambulance in the southern city of Tyre.
HEZBOLLAH: ISRAELI UAV SHOT DOWN
Lebanese Hezbollah also announced that it had shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Israeli army. In a written statement from Hezbollah, information was provided that they had shot down an Israeli "Elbit Hermes 900" type UAV. The statement noted that Israel continues its missile attacks on military areas near the Lebanese border as well as the city of Haifa.
DEATH TOLL EXCEEDS 2,400
In a written statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was stated that the Israeli army continues its airstrikes in many parts of the country.
Stating that 16 people were killed and 59 people were injured yesterday as a result of Israel's ongoing attacks, the statement recorded that the number of those who lost their lives in attacks on Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has risen to 2,464, and the number of injured has reached 11,530.
It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced in Lebanon due to Israeli bombardment.
While the wave of migration from the southern parts of the country to the capital Beirut and the north continues, the Lebanese government announced that more than 471,000 of the displaced have migrated to Syria.
