The Istanbul Police Department's 9-month data for 2025 revealed which areas of the megacity have seen rising crime rates. In the list where thousands of incidents were recorded, some districts unexpectedly ranked at the top.
While Gaziosmanpaşa and Arnavutköy stand out at the top on the European Side, police stations in Pendik and Kadıköy from the Anatolian Side also entered the list. Here are the areas with the highest crime density in Istanbul and the striking ranking by police station.
