The report issued by the Council of Forensic Medicine regarding the bag found in the grave of Münevver Karabulut's murderer, Cem Garipoğlu, did not satisfy the Karabulut family or the public. The family, having submitted a petition to the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, requested that the bag be sent to the Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences or the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine for examination.

The examination at the police laboratory of the bag found in the opened grave of Cem Garipoğlu, the murderer of Münevver Karabulut, has been completed.
During the criminal investigation, light scanning and color reagent tests were performed to search for DNA traces. It was determined that the blood on the bag did not belong to a human.
NEW MOVE FROM THE KARABULUT FAMILY
The Karabulut family has taken action regarding this situation. In the petition submitted to the prosecutor's office, it was noted that the initial request for the bag to be examined for DNA and fingerprints was made on October 9.
According to the report by Sabah, in line with this request, a warrant was issued to the Istanbul Police Department's Criminal Police Laboratory Directorate, and it was stated that the bag was taken into custody by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and sent to the Istanbul Criminal Police Laboratory.
In the report prepared following the examination conducted at the police laboratory, it was emphasized that no body fluid samples were found on the bag, and although a blood sample was found on the inside of the plastic bag, this blood sample did not belong to a human.
It was also stated that no traces were detected on the bag, and a report was prepared indicating that the blood swab sample taken for control purposes from the knot on the upper edge of the bag, as well as the blood sample taken from the inside of the bag, did not yield results for genetic analysis.
NECESSARY EXAMINATIONS SHOULD BE CONDUCTED
The petition stated that a reliable result could not be obtained from the work carried out on the bag at the police laboratory.
For this reason, in line with the Karabulut family's request, it was demanded that the necessary examinations be conducted by the Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences or the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine in order to reveal the material truth, ease the public conscience, and ensure that justice is served.
The petition, submitted through the Karabulut family's lawyer, has been processed. The prosecutor's office is now expected to make a decision regarding this request from the family.
