Jealous lover causes terror: 3 dead
In the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, a man killed the woman he was allegedly in a relationship with after she reportedly wanted to break up with him, as well as her brother, before taking his own life with the same weapon.

The incident occurred around 21:30 at the intersection of Yaz Street and Başkent Street in the Ataevler neighborhood.
According to the information obtained, İpek Genç (35), a mother of one who worked as a nurse at the City Hospital, and her brother Abdullah Barış Genç (23) were intercepted in front of their apartment building by Erhan Derse (35), who was allegedly the boyfriend she wanted to break up with.
It is alleged that Erhan Derse pulled out the weapon he had brought with him and fired at İpek Genç and her brother Abdullah Barış Genç; he then ended his own life with the same weapon.
Upon notification, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The wounded, who were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance after initial intervention at the scene, could not be saved despite all medical efforts.
Crime scene investigation teams conducted a long search for evidence on the street, and statements were taken from eyewitnesses.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
