Kartalkaya detail in Kızıl Goncalar: Those scenes were removed

Following the Grand Kartal Hotel fire at the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort, in which 79 people lost their lives, the families' struggle for justice continues. The investigation into the fire tragedy, which deeply shook society, is also ongoing.

The record-breaking NOW TV series Kızıl Goncalar has made a commendable move in connection with the fire tragedy. NOW TV and the production company Gold Yapım announced that the fire scenes in the new episode of the series were removed from the script so that the public would not be affected by the Kartalkaya fire.

In the episode aired the other evening, the following warning message was shared with the viewers:

"We deeply feel the pain of the lives lost in the tragic fire in Kartalkaya. Due to the sensitivity it would cause, we are not airing the fire scenes we filmed before the tragedy, as required by our episode's storyline. We wish a speedy recovery to our injured and respectfully commemorate those we lost. Our condolences to the entire country."

79 people lost their lives in the fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel at the Kartalkaya Ski Resort, and it was revealed after the fire that there were numerous instances of negligence.

According to the findings obtained so far, the first intervention to the fire, which started in the restaurant kitchen, took place 1 hour and 15 minutes later. The fire lasted for a total of 11 hours. The fire escape inside the building acted like a chimney and carried the dense smoke from the flames to the upper floors. For this reason, a significant portion of the deaths occurred due to poisoning caused by the carbon monoxide gas released.
