Knife-wielding tension in traffic in İnegöl: Driver fined 180 thousand TL
In an incident that occurred in the İnegöl district of Bursa, a driver who got off his motorcycle and attempted to attack another driver with a knife was issued an administrative fine of 180 thousand TL. The İnegöl Municipality Monitoring and Evaluation Center cameras played a significant role in identifying the incident.

The incident took place around 19:30 on Atatürk Boulevard in the Cuma neighborhood.
A motorcycle with license plate 16 CAJ 918, driven by Yusuf G. (23), and a motorcycle with license plate 16 BIU 443, driven by Gökhan E. coming from a side street, narrowly avoided a collision while traveling on the boulevard.
The drivers, who escaped the accident by chance, stopped their vehicles. Following the tension, Yusuf G. called the 112 Emergency Call Center to request assistance.
Meanwhile, the enraged driver Gökhan E. took a knife from his motorcycle and walked toward the other driver. Citizens in the vicinity intervened, preventing a potential injury or a more serious incident. Upon notification, police teams arrived at the scene and intervened in the situation by separating the parties.
The Traffic Bureau of the İnegöl Police Department examined the footage from the İnegöl Municipality Monitoring and Evaluation Center cameras.
The examination captured the moment Gökhan E. walked toward the other driver with the knife he had taken from his motorcycle and was stopped by citizens.
Traffic teams issued a 180,000 TL fine to the driver Gökhan E. for the offense of persistently following another vehicle in traffic with the intent to attack or getting out of the vehicle for this purpose. Additionally, the driver's license was suspended for 60 days, and his motorcycle was banned from traffic for 60 days.
