Mansur Yavaş's statement is as follows:
"I see the rumors being spread about me resigning from my party, but I do not take them seriously. I know for what purpose these rumors are being spread. I want everyone to know that I will not be part of any step that would give a breather to the ruling party, which is declining in the polls, or that would open our party to debate.
As the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, I am focused on two things: serving Ankara and ensuring that our party, which is the leading party in Turkey under the leadership of our Chairman, comes in first in the first general elections. Until we change the government and bring about a strengthened parliamentary system, we, as the CHP family, will work as a whole with our mayors, our members of parliament, and our organization, without giving any credit to the discord being attempted to be created."
