Launch pad protest in Southern Cyprus

As US-Israeli attacks on Iran and the Tehran administration's retaliations escalate tensions in the region, the public in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GCA) held protest demonstrations against British military bases in the country.
During the demonstrations in the capital Nicosia, protesters accused the Greek Cypriot administration of supporting the US and Israel and marched toward administrative buildings. Stating that the island of Cyprus has become a part of the war, the protesters chanted slogans such as "Death bases out," "British bases must go," and "Cyprus is not your launchpad."
One of the protesters said regarding the bases, "They pose a danger to our security. The bases have been used in countless bombing activities in the region, and now they put us at risk because we are targeted due to our proximity. We want them closed."
