Lawyers head to the polls for the Ankara Bar Association presidency! 8 candidates are competing
Voting has begun at the 68th Ordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Bar Association. 8 presidential candidates are competing in the election, which is being held with the participation of 24,400 lawyers. Voting will end at 17:00.

Voting has begun at the 68th Ordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Bar Association.
At the general assembly, which is being held at the Atatürk Sports and Exhibition Hall, voting began at 09:00 and will conclude at 17:00.
Lawyers who arrived at the congress hall early to cast their votes created a crowd.
While various groups set up stands in the congress center garden, presidential candidates greeted members at the hall entrance as they arrived to vote.
The candidates competing for the Ankara Bar Association presidency are: the incumbent president Mustafa Köroğlu, nominated by the Democratic Left Lawyers (DSA); Bülent Yücetürk from the 100th Year Democratic Left Lawyers (100.Yıl DSA); Mehmet Zeki Kaplan from the Ankara Bar Association Change Group; Ebru Dönmez from the Lawyers' Rights Group; Coşkun Özgür Piroğlu from the Militant Lawyers Group; Doğukan Tonguç Cankurt from the Libertarian Contemporary Lawyers; Hakan Erdem from the Turkish Nationalist Lawyers Group; and independent candidate İbrahim Akın.
In the election, where a total of 24,400 lawyers are eligible to vote, members will elect the bar president, as well as a 10-member board of directors, a 5-member disciplinary board, a 3-member supervisory board, and 7 delegates to the Union of Turkish Bar Associations.
