New details have emerged from the digital examination of Sakaryaspor goalkeeper Yunus Emre Tekoğul, who was arrested as part of an illegal betting investigation in football.
It was reported that data regarding both legal and illegal betting sites were found on the suspect's phone, and that notable messages concerning match results were identified.
According to a report by Akşam newspaper, it was determined that Tekoğul had an account on a legal betting platform. During the examinations, the dates on which the goalkeeper placed bets while playing for Sakaryaspor were recorded.
According to information in the file, it was determined that Tekoğul placed a bet on the Fatih Karagümrük – Sakaryaspor match played on October 5, 2024, predicting that the "opponent would win the match." The match in question ended in a 4-0 victory for Karagümrük.
