While Manisa residents expressed their sorrow by saying, "We found him late, we lost him too soon," Ferdi Zeyrek's mother Gülten Zeyrek, who is receiving hospital treatment for heart disease, along with his uncle, sister, and wife Nurcan Zeyrek, are accepting condolences alongside CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
95-year-old former Manisa deputy Faruk Saydam, who arrived at the condolence site with his cane, offered his condolences to Nurcan Zeyrek and told Özgür Özel, "Teach this friendship, brotherhood, and loyalty to the people to all of Turkey; thank you."
