Mehmet Ali Erbil's daughter Yasmin Erbil speaks out: 'It was a very terrifying day'
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into famous figures on the grounds that they promoted illegal betting advertisements on social media. Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil were placed under house arrest by the court to which they were referred with a request for their arrest. Erbil's daughter, Yasmin Erbil, spoke about the detention process.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into celebrities identified as having advertised illegal betting sites on social media.
Within the scope of the investigation, the identities of many individuals were determined, including singer Serdar Ortaç, presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil, former footballer Batuhan Karadeniz, and social media influencer İbrahim Yılmaz.
The 16 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse following health checks. The court decided to release Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç under house arrest conditions.
Making a statement after his release, Mehmet Ali Erbil expressed his regret, stating that he now only leaves the house to go to the hospital with permission.

Mehmet Ali Erbil's daughter, Yasmin Erbil, spoke for the first time about her father's detention. Stating on the program "Aramızda Kalmasın" that the incident her father experienced scared her a lot, Yasmin Erbil said, "It was truly the most terrifying day I have ever had. May God never let this happen again. My father is very upset; something like this will not happen again."
Yasmin Erbil was also asked about being seen at the courthouse with her father's girlfriend, Gülseren Ceylan, whom she had previously opposed and whose relationship she did not approve of. Yasmin Erbil said, "Troubles bring people together; it was a special situation. There is no closeness between Gülseren Ceylan and me."
