Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who arrived in Istanbul, stated in a message published on the black-and-white club's social media account that he is looking forward to starting his new role.

Expressing his pleasure in meeting the club's executives, Solskjaer said, "Everyone is smiling. I feel at home. I am very excited. This is a big challenge for me. This is a great community with a wonderful history. I felt the project we discussed with the president was very close to my heart. Because what our president said about football really resonated with me."
Touching upon the Beşiktaş fans, the 51-year-old manager noted the following:
"Our fans are very important. We were talking about this with our board of directors. They are incredibly passionate. There is a restaurant where my children live in Norway. I have many Turkish friends there. They constantly talked to me about the fans. Arild Stavrum is my childhood friend; he played for Beşiktaş before. Ronny Johnsen did too. They told me about the fans here and explained that they want to see a team worthy of Beşiktaş. They are truly wonderful. Real football fans. Amazing supporters who back their team with all their hearts and never, ever stop supporting."

Meanwhile, Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı and board members met with Solskjaer yesterday.
According to the statement made by the black-and-white club, Solskjaer's assistant Erling Moe was also present at the meeting held at the White Pepper Restaurant located at Tüpraş Stadium.
