Warning for 3 provinces from Meteorology: Heavy downpours and snow are coming!

According to the latest assessments by the Meteorology, precipitation in the country is expected to be in the form of heavy rain and downpours in the surroundings of Rize and Artvin and the eastern districts of Trabzon this morning, and heavy and locally intense snowfall in high areas at an altitude of 300 meters and above.

According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the northern and eastern parts of the country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the coastal areas of the Central Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, the surroundings of Kars and Ardahan, the northern districts of Erzurum, and the western part of the Marmara region after night hours, while other places are expected to be slightly cloudy. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and downpours in coastal areas and the west of Marmara, and sleet and snow in inland areas.

Air temperatures will be a high of 4 and a low of -2 in Ankara; a high of 9 and a low of 4 in Istanbul; and a high of 14 and a low of 5 degrees in Izmir.
