Middle school students intercepted and beaten: Dragged by their hair
In Bolu, middle school girls trying to go home after school were cornered in a park and beaten by a group of older girls.

The incident occurred on January 8 in the vicinity of Canip Baysal Middle School in the Sağlık neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the girls, who were on their way home after school, were intercepted by a group of 15-16-year-old girls who were reportedly not affiliated with the school.
Allegedly, the suspects demanded money from the middle school students. After receiving a negative response to their demands, the group took the young girls to a park near the school.
Beaten for minutes
The group, which cornered the students in the park, attacked them and dragged the girls by their hair, beating them for minutes. Those moments were recorded second by second by the attacking group using a mobile phone camera. The footage shows the moments when the young children were brutally beaten and dragged.
Families filed complaints
Following the incident, the traumatized victims informed their families. Upon learning of the situation, the families went to the hospital and the police station to file complaints. It was learned that during the examinations at the hospital, signs of battery were found on the body of one student, and a medical report documenting the assault was obtained.
In their statements, the victimized students stated that the group had been following them constantly and intercepting them after school.
Taking action on the matter, the Bolu Provincial Police Department's Juvenile Branch teams initiated proceedings against 4 children involved in the incident who had filed complaints against each other.
