Müsavat Dervişoğlu explains on Fatih Altaylı's show: Will the İYİ Party, Zafer Party, and Anahtar Party merge?

Journalist Fatih Altaylı hosted IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.

Altaylı asked, "Would you consider merging with Yavuz Ağıralioğlu and Ümit Özdağ? Will it not be possible to reach victory with the 'Key' (Anahtar)? Doesn't a good key require victory? Do you not have an idea to bring these parties together?"

'I HAVE NOT MADE, AND WILL NOT MAKE, NEGATIVE STATEMENTS'

Dervişoğlu gave the following response:

Now let's think about this, let's look at the reasons for the separations. Everyone is talking about merging, but why did we separate in the first place?

I have not made, and will not make, any negative statements anywhere regarding any of these friends.

I know the reasons for the separations. I determined these by experiencing them, and in my opinion, all of these separations are personal.

'I THINK VERY SUBTLY AND SENSITIVELY'

There is something here; I think very subtly and sensitively about issues such as separating or preparing the ground for separation, turning well-intentioned approaches like coming together into things that can be politically exploited, or allowing someone to belittle things that are our common values.

'COMBINING THE THREE DOES NOT MATHEMATICALLY REPRESENT THE SAME TOTAL'

What I am trying to do is to be reliable in politics. Because the citizen is looking for trust. Therefore, you said, for example, they got 5 percent. Let's say I don't say that now, it might change, let's not have a misunderstanding, let's say they got 10, and I got 5. Let's say Mr. Yavuz also got more than me. Combining the three of these does not mathematically represent the same total.

'WE MUST ACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH WHAT WE ARE KNOWN FOR'

What is important is to meet in conscience and spirit. The way to meet in conscience and spirit is to possess spirit and conscience. Therefore, what we represent must be understood very well; we must act in accordance with what we represent and what we are known for. Look, you and I may have had a greeting in the past, that's all, but we had no legal or formal relationship; now, today, a relationship has formed between us as well.

I will not take a step tomorrow that could damage this relationship, no matter the conditions.
