The first hearing of the trial regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose body was found after she went missing in Diyarbakır, will be held today. During the hearing, the detained defendants—uncle Salim Güran, mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran, and neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who transported Narin's body—will appear before the judge. Making statements ahead of the critical trial, father Arif Güran said, "After the court, I will begin a hunger strike at the gates of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) with my 3 sons."

The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the discovery of the lifeless body of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's central Bağlar district and was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8, has been completed regarding the detained suspects Salim, Yüksel, and Enes Güran, as well as their neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar.
THEY WILL APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGE
The indictment prepared against these 4 defendants, seeking aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "intentional killing of a child in complicity," was accepted by the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court on October 23.
The 4 detained defendants will appear before the judge tomorrow.
In the preliminary proceedings report prepared by the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, a "compulsory appearance" order was issued for today's first hearing of the trial, requiring father Arif Güran to attend as a "complainant" and 21 other individuals, including detained suspects, to attend as "witnesses."
STATEMENT FROM FATHER GÜRAN
Narin Güran’s father, Arif Güran, appeared as a guest on journalist Rojda Altıntaş’s social media channel and made statements.
Arif Güran asked, "Why are the recordings from the camera 700 meters away from my house not in the indictment?"
Güran also stated that if the footage is not included in the court records, he will go on a hunger strike in front of the TBMM with his 3 sons.
