In Beykoz, Kavacık, on September 26, 2024, at approximately 23:30, former Fenerbahçe football player and football commentator Serhat Akın was subjected to an armed attack by individuals on a motorcycle as he was leaving a program he had attended.
Akın, who was wounded in the foot during the attack, was taken to the hospital, and details regarding the incident have begun to emerge.
As a result of the work carried out by police teams, Ozan D., who used the weapon; Osman M., who drove the motorcycle; Eyüp Ü., who brought a car to the scene for the escape; and Yunus G., who harbored the suspects, as well as Muhammet A. and İriş T., who were involved in the incident, were apprehended and taken into custody.
New details have emerged during the interrogation of the suspects who were referred to the Beykoz Courthouse.
According to witness statements taken as part of the investigation, the perpetrator Ozan D. and his associates met at an address after the incident and stated that Hasan Ş. had paid them 250 thousand TL.
Following the incident, it was determined that the person who handed the money to the suspects in person was Yunus G.
It has been revealed that Hasan Ş., identified as the instigator of the attack, has a criminal record of 10 separate offenses, including 'intentional homicide' and 'assault,' and was also wanted for 4 different crimes.
It has been learned that Hasan Ş. is also a fugitive suspect in the murder of Uğur Can D. in Büyükçekmece and that he fled to Georgia through illegal means.
Police teams also announced that the motorcycle used in the incident had a stolen license plate and that one handgun was seized.
