Nilhan Osmanoğlu, granddaughter of Abdülhamit, falls victim to rent hikes: She posted a farewell message

Nilhan Osmanoğlu, the 5th-generation granddaughter of Abdülhamit II, who previously made headlines with her remarks stating she was tired of the parliamentary regime, is vacating the Ottoman Mansion she used as a cafe and store.

Nilhan Osmanoğlu, known for her support of the AKP, announced on her social media account that operations at the Nilhan Sultan Mansion in Paşalimanı have been terminated, citing the unpredictability of rent prices.

UNABLE TO PAY RENT

Announcing the development on her social media account, Nilhan Osmanoğlu stated that she made the decision to close due to "rising rent costs."

The following statements were included in the post shared on Nilhan Osmanoğlu's social media account:

"As of today, while we complete our tenth year in the restaurant sector and our eighth year in Paşalimanı, we are unfortunately at a crossroads brought about by changing conditions.

- The rent costs, which are increasing unpredictably every day and will reach the millions within a year or two, have led us to make this decision. In the hospitality etiquette we believe in, there is no place for presenting menus with exorbitant figures to you just to cover these astronomical costs and rents. We can never bring ourselves to compromise on quality and fairness just to keep the wheels turning.

- In line with these principles, we would like to announce that we are terminating our Nilhan Sultan Mansion Paşalimanı operation as of today. Although we are saying goodbye to a venue, we have not lost anything of our stance or our enthusiasm."
