No IMM, only Erdoğan's instructions! What instructions did Erdoğan give at the earthquake summit?

Istanbul was shaken by consecutive earthquakes of 5.9 and 6.2 magnitude, causing great concern in the city. Following these major tremors, earthquake preparations and measures in Istanbul have once again become a subject of debate.

Among earthquake scientists and in political circles, issues such as lack of preparation, lack of merit, and lack of oversight have come to the fore. However, beyond all these discussions, the biggest question mark is: What will be done?

ERDOĞAN GAVE THE INSTRUCTION

The details of the earthquake summit convened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the earthquake in Istanbul, to which Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) officials were not invited, have come to light.

Writing in the Korkusuz newspaper, Can Coşkun reported on the statements made by Erdoğan according to information obtained after the summit.

Coşkun noted the following:

-Receiving information from ministers and AFAD officials, Erdoğan requested that the future potential effects of this earthquake be investigated.

-His exact words on this matter were, "Consult with earthquake experts, include different opinions as well. Which is the most likely scenario? Ask experts abroad too."

-Erdoğan further requested that the report to be prepared be presented not to him personally, but first to the members of the Disaster Policies Board affiliated with the Presidency. The main opinion of that board is already clear.

-According to what I learned from Beştepe, the members of the Disaster Policies Board are predominantly of the opinion that "the main earthquake has not yet occurred." However, I also heard that some members told Erdoğan, "An atmosphere of panic is unnecessary. We cannot know the timing."
