Notes of young woman who took her own life on Mother's Day revealed: 'I endured it for my daughter'
In the Çaybaşı district of Ordu, the notes written by a 20-year-old mother of one who took her own life on Mother's Day have been revealed. It was learned that the young woman had written down the hardships she faced due to the mistreatment she received from her husband and mother-in-law.

The incident occurred on May 11 in the Aşıklı neighborhood of the district. According to the information obtained, Arzu Ay was found hanging from a tree next to her house. Upon notification by those nearby, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Checks confirmed that the young woman had lost her life. Following the autopsy procedures, Arzu Ay was laid to rest in the İlküvez neighborhood on May 13.
HUSBAND ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Ünye Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Arzu Ay's husband, C.A., and her mother-in-law, K.A., were taken into custody during detailed examinations conducted by gendarmerie teams at the house and the scene of the incident. In the work carried out by the Çaybaşı District Gendarmerie Command teams, information was reached that C.A. had "inflicted physical and psychological violence and committed torture" against his wife.
Furthermore, it was alleged that the mother-in-law, K.A., also treated her daughter-in-law poorly. After the procedures, C.A. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court on charges of "torture against a spouse" and sent to prison. The mother-in-law, K.A., was released under judicial control conditions.
HER NOTES REVEALED
During the searches conducted after the incident, notes written on notebook paper, which are claimed to belong to Arzu Ay and are considered to have been written before her death, were found.
The notes contained statements that the young woman was scolded and mistreated by her husband and mother-in-law, and that she endured all the difficulties she experienced for the sake of her daughter.
