Occupancy rates in Istanbul's dams have fallen to 37.83 percent
As the effects of global warming continue, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are a subject of concern. As of October 2, 2024, the total water level in the dams has fallen to 37.83 percent. The lowest water rate was measured at 5.94 percent in the Kazandere Dam, while the highest was measured at 55.30 percent in the Elmalı Dam. Occupancy rates are expected to increase with autumn rains.

Occupancy rates in Istanbul's dams are expected to rise as rainfall becomes more effective and hot weather conditions subside.
Following the rain that began with the arrival of autumn, dam occupancy rates have become one of the topics most closely followed by citizens. While the water level at the Kazandere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 5.94 percent, the highest water level was recorded at the Elmalı Dam at 55.30 percent.
The total occupancy rate in the megacity's dams was measured at 37.83 percent on Wednesday, October 2.
It was noted that the occupancy rates in the dams, which have started to decline compared to the previous day, were recorded as follows on October 2:

Büyükçekmece Dam: 40.95%
Darlık Dam: 40.97%
Elmalı Dam: 55.30%
Istrancalar Dam: 22.55%
Kazandere Dam: 5.94%
Pabuçdere Dam: 20.83%

Terkos Dam: 51.36%
Ömerli Dam: 31.28%
