Özen, who claimed to provide witchcraft training to Ece Gürel, referred to the courthouse: Accused of spreading misleading information to the public

Hale Nur Özen, who was detained on allegations of providing 'witchcraft training' to Ece Gürel, who was found four days after going missing in the Belgrade Forest and later passed away in the hospital, has been referred to the courthouse.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was learned that Özen claimed in statements made on a social media channel that she had provided training to Ece Gürel.

Özen was detained yesterday on charges of 'publicly spreading misleading information,' 'qualified fraud,' and 'opposition to the Tax Procedure Law.' After completing her procedures at the police station, Özen was referred to the courthouse. Following her statement, Özen was released under judicial control.

It was learned that Ece Gürel left her home in the Gültepe neighborhood of Kağıthane on Sunday, March 2, to go to the Belgrade Forest. During the search efforts initiated upon the notification of her relatives, Gürel's mobile phone and personal belongings were found on March 4.

Following four days of intensive search operations, it was reported that Gürel was found in a rugged forest area at 01:15 AM and was taken to Maslak Acıbadem Hospital. It was announced that Gürel could not be saved despite all interventions after being admitted to the intensive care unit.

Gürel's funeral was laid to rest at the Kocasinan Cemetery following the afternoon prayer at the Bağcılar Güneşli Central Mosque.

In a statement made on a social media channel, Hale Nur Özen claimed that Ece Gürel had received training from her approximately two years ago. It was stated that the training provided by Özen covered topics such as astrology, tarot, frequencies, alchemy, medicinal herbs, symbols, energy usage, rituals, and body language.
