This is how the 'Perseid meteor shower' was captured in Kocaeli

The "Perseid meteor shower" was observed at the ancient aqueduct in the İzmit district of Kocaeli.

The Üçtepeler ancient aqueduct, which was learned to have been commissioned by Pliny, the Governor of Nicomedia, during the reign of Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century AD, draws attention with its structure, which is approximately 50 meters long, 15 meters high, and built in two tiers.

With traces from the Byzantine and Ottoman periods found in its upper sections, it is understood that the structure has undergone continuous repairs since the time it was built, and it continues to exist as a symbol that defies time.

The aqueduct, where its natural and historical appearance merges with the shimmer of the stars, is among the special stops for those who want to witness its history and trace the marks of the past.

The belt, where the Perseid meteor shower can also be observed, practically invites photography enthusiasts with its surrounding natural beauty.
