While thunderstorms are expected in many regions, especially starting from the weekend, warnings for strong winds and occasional storms have been issued for some areas.

RAIN TO DOMINATE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OVER THE WEEKEND

As of Saturday, April 4, rainy weather will be effective in most of the Marmara, Black Sea, and Central Anatolia regions, while strong winds are drawing attention along the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts.

On Sunday, April 5, the precipitation is expected to spread further across the country, with locally heavy downpours expected particularly in the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions.

INCREASE IN THUNDERSTORMS ON MONDAY

On Monday, April 6, thunderstorms are estimated to increase in intensity in the inner and eastern parts of the country.

While partly cloudy weather will prevail in the west of Marmara and some parts of the Aegean, local precipitation transitions may be seen along the Mediterranean coast.

PRECIPITATION INTENSIFIES IN THE EAST ON TUESDAY

As of Tuesday, April 7, precipitation will concentrate more in the Eastern Anatolia and Black Sea regions.

Strong downpours and occasional storms may be effective in these regions. Cloudy and locally rainy weather is expected in the western regions.

PRECIPITATION TO SPREAD ACROSS THE COUNTRY AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday, April 8, the rainy system is projected to expand again and be effective across the country.

While thunderstorms will be notable especially in the southern and eastern parts, intermittent rain will also be seen in the northern regions.

BEWARE OF FLASH FLOODS AND STORMS

Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious against the risk of flash floods, inundations, and lightning, especially in regions where thunderstorms are expected.

Additionally, a warning has been issued that disruptions in transportation may occur due to strong winds expected to be effective in coastal areas.
