Reaction from terrorist leader Öcalan's brother to the CHP!

Following the visit to İmralı Island by a commission established with the support of various political parties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, statements were made by Öcalan's brother, Mehmet Öcalan. Mehmet Öcalan described the CHP's decision not to join the commission as "wrong" and called on the party to get involved in the process.

"THE CHP'S STANCE IS WRONG"

Speaking to a media outlet close to the organization, Mehmet Öcalan argued that the CHP narrowed the process by deciding not to go to İmralı. Stating that Abdullah Öcalan had previously expressed that the CHP should be part of the commission, Öcalan made the following assessment:

"The CHP's current stance is wrong. Instead of narrowing the process, they should contribute to it."

DEMAND FOR DISCLOSURE OF MEETING CONTENT

Mehmet Öcalan stated that the meeting held by the commission should be disclosed to the public, using the following expressions:

"If the commission in Parliament went to the island, what the commission members talked about with the leader and what the leader said to them should be explained to the public."

He expressed that the reason for this demand is that the process should be conducted transparently.

"WE WILL SHAME THE CHP IF THEY REJECT THE TALKS ON İMRALI"

In the continuation of his statement, Mehmet Öcalan sharpened his criticisms toward the CHP and stated that they should contribute to the process. Öcalan used the following expressions:

"If the CHP truly contributes to this process, we will thank them. But if they are not realistic about the process and reject the talks on İmralı Island, we will criticize those who do so. We will openly shame them for it."

"THIS PROCESS IS A SALVATION FOR EVERYONE"

Mehmet Öcalan claimed that Abdullah Öcalan has been "struggling for a democratic solution to the problem" on İmralı for 26 years and asserted that the process is important not only for Kurds but for the entire society. Criticizing the CHP for not taking part in the commission, the following call was made:

"Our call to the CHP is this: They should take their place in the commission during this process and abandon this mistake."
