Reactions pour in to Israel's 'Rising Lion' operation against Iran! 'Barbaric and unlawful'

Israel launched an operation dubbed "Rising Lion" against Iran's nuclear facilities early this morning. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attack, which he called "Rising Lion," would "last for days" and is aimed at "pushing back the Iranian threat to Israel's survival."

CONDEMNATION FROM SAUDI ARABIA

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel's attack on Iran. The statement included the following: "We condemn the blatant attacks by Israel against the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran, which undermine its sovereignty and security and constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms."

BRITAIN: ESCALATION OF ATTACKS IS IN NO ONE'S INTEREST

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy also stated that they are "concerned" by the Israeli attacks. In a post on X, Lammy said:

"I am concerned to see reports of the attacks. Further escalation of the attacks is a serious threat to peace and stability in the region and is in no one's interest.

This is a dangerous moment and I call on all parties to exercise restraint."

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that his government is calling on "all parties to step back and urgently de-escalate," adding, "Now is the time for restraint, calm, and a return to diplomacy."

Starmer said, "Escalation serves no one in the region. Stability in the Middle East must be a priority, and we are in contact with our partners to de-escalate the situation."

CONDEMNATION FROM JAPAN

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya also stated in a press conference in Tokyo on Friday that they "strongly" condemn Israel's airstrikes on Iran and called on all parties to exercise restraint.

Iwaya said, "Peace and stability in the Middle East region are extremely important for Japan, and we call on all relevant parties to exercise maximum restraint and calm the situation."

TRUMP: WE WILL DEFEND ISRAEL IF NECESSARY

US President Donald Trump, in his first statement following Israel's attacks on Iran, stated that they hope to continue the nuclear negotiation process with Iran and said, "We will defend Israel if necessary."

Trump made the statement over the phone to Fox News host Bret Baier.

Trump said, "Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we hope to return to the negotiating table. We will see. There are a few people (who died) in the leadership cadre who will not be returning."

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong stated that they are "concerned about the escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran," adding, "This situation carries the risk of further destabilizing an already unstable region.
